EUDAMED actor registration from May 2026

Actor registration in EUDAMED became obligatory on 28 May 2026 for manufacturers, authorised representatives, importers, and pack producers.

The Belgian medicines agency states that registration in the EUDAMED actor module became obligatory on 28 May 2026, six months after EU Decision 2025/2371. The actors named are manufacturers, authorised representatives, importers, and system or procedure pack producers. Each role gets its own SRN. A company with two roles has two registrations, not one SRN with two meanings.

What that date is, and is not

It is an actor-module duty, explained by a competent authority. It is not a statement that every historical device already sits in the public UDI search, and it is not a date this website administers. Other EUDAMED modules have their own gradual rollout. A page that folds actor registration, certificates, vigilance, and market surveillance into one deadline is compressing rules that the Commission published separately.

Someone ending the activity, who is not required to use the other modules, is called out as an exception by that same agency note. If that is your situation, the agency’s text is the thing to read, not a blog summary.

What a public lookup can check after the date

You can look up an SRN that has been assigned and see the public actor fields: name, country, status, and a page of devices. You cannot use a public page to prove that a company failed to register, because absence from one search can mean a different role token, a name spelling, or a record the public API did not return. AT-MF-000000252 is a manufacturer that does resolve. A missing name is not the same kind of result.
