- What is a UDI-DI?
30 September 2026 · A UDI-DI is the device identifier in the EU Unique Device Identification system. It names the device model in EUDAMED, not one physical unit.
- What is an SRN in EUDAMED?
30 September 2026 · An SRN is the Single Registration Number of an economic operator in EUDAMED. Manufacturer SRNs look like AT-MF-000000252.
- Basic UDI-DI vs UDI-DI
30 September 2026 · The UDI-DI identifies one device model. The basic UDI-DI groups models for one intended purpose, and EUDAMED hangs certificates on that group.
- EUDAMED: “no longer on the market”
30 September 2026 · EUDAMED status is on the market, no longer on the market, or not intended for the EU. A change is a new UDI-DI version, not a silent edit.
- EUDAMED certificate expiry dates
30 September 2026 · Public EUDAMED certificate expiry hangs on the basic UDI-DI, not the label UDI-DI. If the date is absent, the public response had none.
- How to search a device in public EUDAMED
30 September 2026 · Search the public EUDAMED register by UDI-DI, trade name, catalogue reference, or manufacturer SRN. Exact codes and fuzzy names do not work the same way.
- How to monitor EUDAMED for changes
30 September 2026 · Monitor an EUDAMED UDI-DI or manufacturer SRN by storing a public snapshot and comparing the next read. The first read is a baseline, not an alert.
